I am a grandparent who discovered her grandchild was aborted three years after the fact. At the time of the abortion I was told my son's fiance had a miscarriage. Since I had had four miscarriages I didn't understand why she was so sick after, and had required hospitalization and a blood transfusion. I also wondered why the relationship between my son and this young women turned very ugly very soon after a miscarriage. 

When my son told me the truth I had just begun to discover the truth about abortion, and the disclosure sent me reeling in grief, pain and anger. 

Ah-ha! It all came together. 

My son and this young woman broke up. His alcohol and drug addiction is destroying him even though he had nothing to to with the decision to abort. But, he is filled with so much anger he self-medicates. 

The young women is also living a destructive life style. She had a very brief marriage during which she discovered she cannot conceive a child due to the damage done from being one of those who was given RU486 during the experimental phase.

I have worked through the grief, and I of course, know someday I will meet that grandchild who has been in Heaven with Jesus. Understanding the destruction and pain that results from abortion is what led me to get more than superfically involved in telling the truth about abortion. It not only takes the life of a child; abortion can destroy an entire family.
