There is a special group of children I have come to know. These children have had a profound effect on me.
They have left a wound in my heart and, for me, have put the face of humanity on abortion.
These are specific boys and girls that I am talking about. I’ve personally met them and their parents. Though my professional and volunteer work as an Ultrasound Technician I have interacted with them. I have watched their hearts beat, counted toes and fingers, seen them jump and turn. I have looked into their faces. These children have been a true joy to behold. It has been a great blessing to see a unique person made in the image of God as they are being “knit” in their mother’s womb.
However, these children have also been a source of terrible grief. You see, there have been hundreds of these children that I have met. Together with the wonder of creation was the horror of knowing I was the last to see this precious gift of God to humanity. The next time they were seen it was in a suction canister, or a similarly gruesome condition depending on their size. God have mercy on us all.
These children have put the face of humanity on abortion for me. The experience has left a gaping wound on my heart. I can no longer be silent or pretend that I didn’t know them or see them. I am compelled to do all that I can to raise awareness of the holocaust that is taking place each and every day.
If you or someone you know is in pain because of their abortion experience, let them know help is available.
